Product Description

Of all the Indiana Jones Action Figures, this one is probably the best looking. Especially since it's 12 inches tall. Plenty of visible details. Press button and and listen to the whip-crack and move! Action Figure includes messenger bag for stowing Indiana Jones treasures, detachable revolver fits in Indy’s holster, pants, shirt, two boots, messenger bag, hat, holster belt, and detachable gun and sixteen-inch whip. I recall the twelve inch Indiana Jones action figure in the early 80s that was on the shelves for what seemed like about a week, It was hard get back then and I have been anticipating it coming back for a long time! Since I would not pay the absurd price for it, back then I missed my chance. But, after the new film came out, thank GOD, we see the return of the Indiana Jones action figures! My friend selected this one over the Indiana Jones Figure that talks merely for the fact that it's appearance is more similar to Indiana than the other. It is not the previous early eighties figure I recalled as a child however it's still great. The details are very good as are the added accessories. It's well worth having.

I enjoy collecting all sorts of action figures including a small collection of Indiana Jones action figures. Of course, you need at least one Indiana Jones action figure in a collection based on the character. I always get into the background of the action figures I collect, so here’s a brief version of the Indiana Jones story…

Dr. Henry Walton Jones (nicknamed “Indiana”) is a fictitious venturer, professor of archeology, OSS agent, & the main character from the Indiana Jones franchise. George Lucas dreamt up the fictional character in dedication to the activeness heroes from the thirties celluloid series. The fictional character 1st came along in the early eighties movie Raiders of the Lost Ark, to be succeeded by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom also in the early eighties. Other movies following included The Last Crusade, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, & Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Beside the numerous better recognized movies and TV shows, Indiana Jones action figures, books, comicbooks, videogames, and additional media likewise have the character. Indiana Jones is likewise included in the themepark ride called Indiana Jones Adventure, which is in kindred forms at Disney.

The Indiana Character is most recognizably portrayed by Harrison Ford. He’s also been played by River Phoenix as the youthful Jones in The Last Crusade, and by Corey Carrier in the TV serial The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Doug Lee has added the characters voice to 2 Lucas Arts videogames, and David Esch lent his vocal talent to Indiana Jones & the Emperor’s Tomb.

Especially noted aspects of the character are his well known lwhip, felt hat, leather jacket), extensive knowledge of several ancient civilizations & languages, dry humor, and his big fear of snakes.

In his function as a college professor of archeology, He is bookish and educated in a tweed suit of clothes, teaching about old cultures. However at the chance to retrieve crucial artefacts, he metamorphoses into “Indiana,” a almost superheroic figure he’s dreamt up for himself. Producer Frank Marshall commented that Indiana Jones is a imperfect character. He has faults and gets harmed. That is the thing that fans enjoy: He’s a real persona, not a fictional character with superhuman abilities. Steven Spielberg commented there was the willingness to let our leading man to get harmed and to convey his anguish and to get anger out or occasionally be his own target of his jokes. Indiana Jones isn’t a flawless champion, and his imperfectnesses made the viewers sense that, with a bit more exercising and a bit more bravery, they could be like Indiana Jones.

Indiana Jones dreamt up his grand hero to break loose from the boredom from instructing at school. Both of Indiana Jone’s sides resist each other in school of thought, producing a dichotomy. Harrison Ford commented that the fun of acting as the part was due to Indiana Jones is both a romanticist and a faultfinder. Some have dissected Indiana Jones into having characteristics of a man on a calling, a lone wolf; a hardened investigator, a dignifying treasure seeker & a superhero embodied in a mortal.

As with numerous roles in the man’s movies, Jones has some autobiographic ingredients from Steven Spielberg. Indiana Jones doesn’t have a appropriate father figure due to the man’s distorted family relationship with his dad, Henry Senior. The man’s personal controlled temper is misguided at the likes of Professor Abner Ravenwood who is Jone’s mentor at the Chicago University. The teen Indiana Jones founds his personal style on a figure from the Last Crusade prologue, after getting his fedora. Marcus Brody is Indiana’s good character model at the college. Jones’s insecurities are worsened from the lack of his mother. In the Temple of Doom, the Indiana Jones becomes the dad in a impermanent family with Short Round & Willie Scott. Jones is saved from the Kali from the dedication of Short Round . Jones addtionally saves numerous kids from being slaves.

There’s so much to the Indiana Jones saga. Too much for this one post. Looking at my Indiana Jones action figure, I can see he’s seen a lot of action in his day. Indiana Jones action figures make a great collectible because of the long deep history of the character.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is an action film. It’s the 4th movie in the Indiana Jones world that was dreamt up by George Lucas and used Steven Spielberg for the director. Put out 19 years after the former movie, the flick admits Harrison Ford’s old age by placing the plot in the fifties. It gives testimonial to the sci-fi B-movies from the era, opposing Indiana Jones versus Soviet agents who are guided by Irina Spalko They battle for a psychic crystal skull. Indiana Jones is helped by his onetime love Marion Ravenwood and their child Mutt Williams. The cast also includes John Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Jim Broadbent as part of the cast.

The movie was stuck in development hell since Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford differed over George Lucas’ first conception, that had a less cloaked focal point on aliens. Writers Jeffrey Boam, Jeb Stuart, Jeff Nathanson and Frank Darabont penned outlines, until David Koepp’s version gratified each 3 men. Filming started in different places including New Haven, Connecticut; New Mexico; Fresno, California; Hawaii; and on soundstages in LA. To maintain artistic continuity with the early movies, the crew used conventional stunt work rather than computer rendered stunt man. Janusz Kamiński was the cinematographer and he analysed Douglas Slocombe’s style from the former Indiana Jones movies.

Selling the film banked heavily on the fan’s nostalgia for the franchise, with products acquiring inspiration of each 4 movies. Buzz for the movie was compounded by secretiveness, that led to a legal fight over a background actor breaching his non-disclosure contract and the apprehension of additional man for theft of a computer carrying assorted documents associated with the film production. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was put out internationally in 2008, and was a fiscal winner, that grossed more than over seven hundred million internationally, getting the 2nd biggest grossing movie of 2008. The movie got mostly good writeups from the critics, but Indiana Jones fans response was good and bad.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull action figures are available in two different gift sets or sold individually. Action figures include a Russian Soldier, Mutt Williams, Ugha Warrior, Colonel Dovchenko, Cairo, Cemetary Warrior, Irina Spalko and more. It’s a great series of fun Action Figures.

Mutt Williams Action Figures are a newer addition to the Indiana Jones Action Figures collection.

Mutt Williams is a fictitious character in the Indiana Jones world, played by Shia LaBeouf. He debuted in Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as a motorcycle greaser and as Jones’ side kick. He’s the child of onetime saloon proprietor Marion Ravenwood and archeologist Indiana Jones. But, Indiana & Mutt are oblivious to their kinship till the happenings in Crystal Skull.

Mutt features a crosswise scar on his cheek created in a duel he had with Irina Spalko. He has declared that his preparatory school training has prepared him to be capable with a sword. The book tells how Williams was a champ on his dueling squad, but he was expelled from school because he placed wagers on his matches.

Frank Marshall commented Mutt exemplifies a young cockyness, to demonstrate that Jones is experienced and wiser. Shia LaBeouf was Steven Spielberg’s 1st and sole pick for the part. Charged up at the thought of being in a movie version of Indiana Jones, Shia signed up without even looking at the script and he didn’t even know what part he would act. Shia checked out Rebel Without a Cause, Blackboard Jungle and The Wild One to enter his persona’s mindset. He copyed idiosyncrasies and lines from fictional characters in those movies, like the employment of a switchblade knife as a weapon. Bona fide fifties jackets were obtained for his wardrobe, while his motorcycle was provided by Harley-Davidson.

George Lucas was wanted to produce a spinoff about Mutt Williams & his personal escapades, and have Indiana Jones in a supporting part. But George Lucas afterward recanted a statement about a possible spinoff series or of Shia assuming the leading role of the Indiana Jones series, saying that Harrison is Indiana, and no Harrison signifies no Indy.

Mutt Williams job before encountering Indiana Jones was a motorcycle grease monkey. It’s addtionally brought out that his mom tried to place him in numerous preparatory schools that he felt no interest in. When at school it’s ascertained that he stood out in sports, especially in fencing.

A twelve inch action figure and two smaller Mutt Williams action figures were recently made available along with an Adventures Heroes figure and a deluxe action figure of Mutt on his motorcycle. Mutt Williams is also available in 4 Lego set Indiana Jones series that are based on Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
